Pink party candidate Melody Bear, is today celebrating her win in the 2008 bear elections for Children in Need.

 Melody Bear's manifesto calling for 'change' in all things relating to dancing to work and school proved to be a vote winner with the public.

 Political commentator, Norris Bear, said there had been an unexpected swing on his election swingometer around midnight which had knocked off his glasses and made it difficult for him to count the votes.  But with help from his friend, Orange John, Norris Bear was able to announce a victory for Melody Bear late on Saturday evening.

 "I promise to promote dancing to work and school across Gt Britain and I shall not rest until I have the whole population skipping", said Melody Bear from her home in St.Ives.
